linkjuice

seo glossary from digital now gmbh

What is Linkjuice?

Linkjuice is also spelled Link Juice. In German, the term means link strength. Link juice describes the backlink distribution of a website and the link strength. The number of backlinks and the quality are relevant for the link juice.

Link juice is actually considered an abstract element. However, SEOs can also make use of link juice. After all, it is also important that only high-quality external backlinks point to your own website. High-quality backlinks provide more link power, which is important for a good ranking. Search engine optimizers must also ensure that the backlinks are well distributed on the various subpages of the project.

An anchor text with the relevant keywords is also important for internal links. This allows SEOs to influence and improve the page relevance.

Why is linkjuice not the same as page rank?

Linkjuice is often confused with page rank. Page rank, on the other hand, is a statement about how much link power is passed on to subpages. In addition, page rank can be calculated and is a term invented by the Google search engine. Link juice, on the other hand, only explains the passing on of existing link power. That is a big difference.
